Law student arrested for abusing CJI Justice Surya Kant, created ruckus in Supreme Court

Taking major action, Delhi Police has arrested two law students in connection with the ruckus during the Supreme Court hearing. Both of them are accused of obstructing the court proceedings, misbehaving and pushing with the security personnel. At present both the accused are on police remand and the investigation of the case is going on.

Both the accused are residents of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the arrested accused have been identified as Prabal Pratap Singh and Chander Bhan. Both are residents of Uttar Pradesh and are studying law.

Ruckus created in court number-13

According to Delhi Police, during the hearing of a case in Supreme Court Court No. 13 on July 10, Prabal Pratap Singh presented himself as a petitioner. During this, he allegedly used abusive language in the court, threw papers and obstructed the judicial proceedings.

There was also a scuffle with the security personnel

When the security personnel present in the court tried to stop him, he even pushed and shoved the employee on duty. After this, information about the matter was given to the police and further action was started.

No need for treatment found in mental examination

After the comments of the Supreme Court, medical examination of both the accused was done at IHBAS. Doctors told in their examination that both of them do not need any immediate mental treatment.

Objectionable pamphlets also recovered

During the investigation, the police also recovered some pamphlets containing objectionable words from both the accused. The police are now trying to find out what was the purpose of these pamphlets and whether there was any big conspiracy or plan behind this incident.

FIR registered in Tilak Marg police station

In this case, FIR has been registered in Tilak Marg police station of Delhi. Police have registered a case under sections 132, 221, 224, 3(5) and other relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Both the accused were arrested and taken on police remand for two days. At present he is being interrogated and detailed investigation of the case is going on.
