Gurucharan Singh Suddenly Replaced In TMKOC: Gurcharan Singh has entertained the audience for years as Roshan Singh Sodhi in ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. But later he suddenly disappeared from the show. Actor Gurcharan Singh has told the reason for leaving the show after years. He has revealed that he was thrown out by the makers in the same way as Jennifer Mistry was thrown out.

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Gurucharan said that he was thrown out of the show by the makers without informing him. He said- ‘Tarak Mehta is like my family because if I did not consider them as family, I would have said many things about them which I did not do. In 2012, they replaced me, I did not leave the show.’

Gurcharan Singh further said- ‘At that time some talks were going on about the deal and agreement. They did not even tell me that they were going to replace me, I was in Delhi and I was sitting with my family and we were watching Taarak Mehta. In that episode, Dharam Paji had a cameo for film promotion or something.’

The actor was surprised to see the new ‘Sodhi’
The actor further said- ‘I said wow, Dharam paji is here and in that episode they introduced the new Sodhi. When I saw it, I was shocked. I was watching it with my parents and they were very shocked. They were under a lot of pressure after I was replaced. Even I had a lot of pressure from the audience.’

Jennifer Mistry was also replaced in a similar way
Gurucharan told- ‘When I used to go to the gym, people used to say why did you leave? You are not enjoying it, you should go back and they used to say this in anger. People would scold me just like you scold your family members. I said it is not up to me, it depends on the owners.’ Gurucharan further said that actress Jennifer Mistry, who played his wife in the show, was also replaced by the makers in the same way.
