Maulana Madani expressed deep concern over the increasing sectarianism in the country and said, “There was never before such sectarianism as there is today.” He said, “A kind of hell is being created for the Muslims in this country and whatever is happening is to set the country on fire.”
Expressed displeasure on Waqf bill and questions on bulldozer action
Maulana Madani also expressed serious concern over the Waqf Bill and said, “The crutches on which the government is running are poisoning the Muslims through this bill.” He believes that efforts are being made to take over Waqf lands and this is against the Constitution. On the increasing bulldozer action in the country, Maulana Madani said, “95 percent of the houses demolished by bulldozers in the country belong to Muslims.” He raised questions calling it unjust and said, “It is the fault of one person, but the entire house is demolished due to which parents, wife and children become homeless.”
Support of alliance and attack on BJP
Maulana Madani praised the announcement of India Alliance, in which it has been said that every religion will be given freedom to live according to their religion. Taking a dig at the BJP, he said that had it not been for the crutches of Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar, the BJP government would not have been formed. Maulana Madani, while targeting the Chief Minister of Assam, said that his “character is stinking” and Muslims in Assam would not have any peace. Citing the Supreme Court’s decision on the basis of citizenship, he said, “If Jamiat remains alive, we will see what the Chief Minister of Assam does now.” Maulana Madani further said that Islam is a lamp which many efforts are being made to extinguish, but “it will always be alive in India.” He believes that the lamp of Islam has been burning in the past and will continue to burn in future also. .
