Naveen Patnaik has a car worth 6 thousand, earned 43 lakhs from interest in a year, who is the poorest in the cabinet

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has such an ambassador car whose market value today is only Rs 6434. In the 2004 election affidavit, the cost of the car was mentioned as Rs 30,000. By the time of 2019 elections, the total market value came down to Rs.8905. It has been 23 years but Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik does not have any other car. This is a great example of simplicity, but on the other hand there is another interesting statistic.

CM Naveen Patnaik’s assets increased by Rs 43 lakh from December 2021 to December 2022. Although his immovable property has not increased, Naveen Patnaik received an interest of Rs 43 lakh in a year only from the interest received on the money deposited in the post office term deposit. This information has been given in the annual statement about the assets of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the CMO website last Friday.

How much is the total assets of CM Patnaik?
In the annual statement, the total assets of Naveen Patnaik have been declared as Rs 65.40 crore. He is the leader with the most assets in the entire cabinet of Odisha government. Naveen Patnaik is unmarried. His movable assets are said to be 12.52 crores, which include his bank accounts in New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Hinrlikat and Bargarh, as well as jewelery and Ambassador car.

If we talk about Naveen Patnaik’s immovable property, then two-thirds of it is in his house i.e. Naveen Niwas located in the capital of Odisha. The cost of this house is 9.52 crores. Apart from this, 50 percent share is also in the property located on Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi, which is said to be worth 43 crores. Naveen Patnaik got both these properties from his parents Biju and Gyan Patnaik.

14 crorepatis out of 19 ministers in the cabinet
Naveen Patnaik has a fixed deposit of Rs 1 crore in HDFC Bank. RBI has bonds worth Rs 9 crore and post office term deposits of Rs 1.5 crore. He also has a deposit of Rs 70 lakh in a Janpath bank. There is also a deposit of Rs 20 lakh in the State Bank of India in Bhubaneswar. Apart from this, he also has deposits of Rs 64,187 in four different banks. Naveen Patnaik also has jewelery worth 3.49 lakhs.

Talking about his cabinet, out of 19 ministers, 14 are crorepatis (two of these ministers have resigned a few days back). State and Mines Minister Praful Malik has the least assets in Naveen Patnaik’s cabinet, who has only 42 lakh assets. Malik has won the election of MLA four times. He is the State and Mines Minister since 2014.
