Andhra CM Announce Home: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been in active mode since forming the government in the state. TDP chief and CM Naidu is aiming to build a house for every homeless poor in the state. The construction of 20 lakh houses will progress rapidly with the target of completing seven lakh houses this year.

According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had promised in his joint manifesto of Telugu Desam and Jana Sena, Praja Gaalam, to build houses for those who have already been sanctioned a site for a house. He promised to give a two bedroom set for every beneficiary under the housing scheme in urban areas and a three bedroom set for every site in rural areas.

Know in which areas CM Naidu has set the target of building houses?

The CM has set a target of constructing 1.55 lakh houses in the next 100 days for the Housing Department. Where officials have been asked to work to reach the annual target of 7 lakh houses this year. Which includes the construction of 20,84,240 houses. Of these, the maximum 1,39,501 houses are in Visakhapatnam district. After this, there are 1,15,403 houses in NTR district, 1,05,867 in YSR Kadapa, 1,04,620 in Nellore, 1,03,791 in Eluru, 1,02,849 in Krishna and 1,00,540 houses in Guntur district.

Apart from this, 87,648 houses will be built in Kakinada district, 83,221 houses in Srikakulam district, followed by 82,221 houses in Vijayanagaram, 82,145 houses in Anantapur, 80,213 houses in Tirupati, 79,721 houses in Annamayya, 77,701 houses in Chittoor, 73,792 houses in West Godavari, 73,282 houses in East Godavari. At the same time, 72,353 houses are to be built in 3,113 Prakasam, 72,353 in Satya Sai, 67,775 in Kurnool, 66,631 in Nandyal, 65,800 in Anakapalle, 62,211 in Palnadu, 50,415 in Bapatla, 45,801 in Alluri Sitarama Raju, 44,065 in Parvatipuram Manyam and 43,561 houses are to be built in Ambedkar Konaseema district.

Steps are being taken to expedite the work- Kolusu Parthasarathy

Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy of Andhra Pradesh Government says that out of the total 20,84,240 houses in all the districts, foundation of 46 percent has been laid. The number of which is 15,10,077. Chittoor and West Godavari are on top with 67 percent and 63 percent ‘Bhoomi Pujan’. After this, 62 percent Bhoomi Pujan has been done in Vijayanagaram, 60 percent in Srikakulam, 57 percent in Nandyal and 55 percent in Prakasam.

Kolusu Parthasarathy said that in the rest of the districts, the foundation work has been between 53 per cent and 24 per cent. Whereas, only 11 per cent bhoomipujan was done in Alluri district. He said that “We are taking steps to speed up the work.

With the coalition government, the target is to build 7 lakh houses in 1 year

Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy said that the TDP-led coalition government has set a target of building 7 lakh houses this year, out of which 1.55 lakh houses will be ready in the next 100 days. He said that by 2029, the state government will have built houses for all the homeless poor in the state.

Kolusu Parthasarathy claimed that the central government sanctioned 21 lakh houses to Andhra Pradesh since 2016, but the YSRC government constructed only 6.8 lakh houses. “We will come up with an action plan to construct houses similar to those in Sanjiva Reddy Nagar and Kukatpalli Housing Board in Hyderabad with financial assistance from central schemes for middle and middle-income group families in cities and towns,” the minister said.

So far 11 lakh people are homeless in the state- Kolusu Parthasarathy

Housing Minister Kolusu said that the new version of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be launched in March next year. The state government will soon organize gram sabhas to identify eligible beneficiaries who do not have a house. He said that according to an estimate, 11 lakh people are homeless in the state.
