According to the report of ICICI Bank, onion prices will not come down in the remaining days of this November. It is a matter of relief that a decline of 4.1 percent can be seen in the prices of other vegetables in November on a month-on-month basis. In the latest monthly report of the bank, it is written that the core inflation rate in October was 6.21 percent, which is its highest level in 14 months. In September it was at 5.49 percent.

In September, continuous upward pressure was seen in the prices of edible oil and vegetables and the effect of reduced arrival of vegetables in the mandis was seen in the form of increase in their prices. The prices of vegetables like Spinach, Cabbage, Fenugreek, Bathua are in the initial phase and hence they are looking a bit high but they are expected to decrease this week because the supply is going on in abundance and they are expected to be sold in abundance as per the demand. However, onion is expected to remain expensive because its fresh supply will take time to arrive.
