After this, he joined the mainstream politics of Bharatiya Janata Party by continuously leading student and youth movements. After handling many important responsibilities in the organization, he reached an important post like Education Ministry in the Union Cabinet.

The Federal Education and Vocational Training Minister of neighboring country Pakistan is Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui. His educational background is related to the medical field. Dr. Khalid Maqbool obtained his MBBS medical degree from the famous Sindh Medical College, Karachi (now known as Jinnah Sindh Medical University) in the year 1989. After completing his medical studies in Karachi, he became active in the field of politics and joined the prominent leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Party.
