Pakistan will get a 440 volt shock from this ICC plan! Will the hosting of Champions Trophy be snatched away?

Pakistan to lose ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Hosting Rights: Till now Pakistan was making tall claims about hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Now a new report has come out that the International Cricket Council can take away the hosting of the Champions Trophy from Pakistan and organize the tournament in some other country. According to the report, the option of shifting the tournament to Dubai, South Africa or Sri Lanka has also been kept open.

ICC has kept three options before itself. The first option is to organize the entire tournament in Pakistan. The second option is the hybrid model, which the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials have been refusing to accept. Under the hybrid model, only India’s matches will be held somewhere else, the remaining matches will be held in Pakistan. The third option is to move the entire tournament from Pakistan to some other country, for which the names of South Africa, UAE and Sri Lanka have come up.

Shock to PCB’s hopes

It is being told that the expectations of adopting the hybrid model are highest, yet ICC is also considering preparing budget for all three options. In such a situation, apart from India’s matches, all other matches will be held in Pakistan. It will not be easy to organize the entire tournament in any other country outside Pakistan, but ICC officials even considering this matter is not at all a good news for PCB.

There is little possibility of any clear announcement on this subject till the middle of November. Meanwhile, the Indian government has also not clarified its stand on sending Team India to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Overall, ICC is also trying hard to ensure that India is not out of the Champions Trophy.
