West Bengal: The troubles of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is surrounded by the Kolkata rape murder case, are not decreasing. Rape cases have also been reported in other places in West Bengal, which has been claimed by West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari.
Talking to news agency ANI, Suvendu Adhikari said that rape incidents have taken place at seven places in Bengal. Attacking the state government on the situation in Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari said, “Rape cases have been reported at seven places in just two days till Sunday (September 01). Trinamool Congress leaders and workers are involved in this. The husband of a TMC panchayat member has been arrested in Cooch Behar. A TMC panchayat member has also been arrested in Madhyamgram.”
Targeted Mamta Banerjee
Suvendu Adhikari has also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said, ‘Mamata Banerjee is the mastermind of these incidents and she should take responsibility.’ It was told that these incidents have also taken place in other places including Cooch Behar, Madhyamgram, Howrah and Ilambazar.
‘Mamata Banerjee should resign’
Suvendu Adhikari said, ‘We just want justice. Mamata Banerjee is at the root of all such rape cases coming up in Bengal. She is the real culprit. Mamata Banerjee should resign. The Government of India should impose President’s rule in Bengal. Imposition of President’s rule is now the ground reality of Bengal and Mamata Banerjee will also have to accept it.
The incident of brutality with a female doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has also raised the political temperature. Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are also continuously protesting and are adamant on the demand for the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The Kolkata rape case is being investigated by the CBI.
