Sajeeb Wazed on Bangladesh Violence: Former PM Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has made a big revelation about the violence and coup in Bangladesh. The former Prime Minister’s son said that the protests had gone out of control as some groups were instigating the protesters and he suspects the involvement of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI or Western groups in this. He said that our government had removed the reservation quota two-three years ago, but the families of freedom fighters had approached the court, so the protests started. Initially it was a small protest, but I think Western groups kept provoking it. Eventually these protests turned violent and became an issue of my mother’s safety. The protesters were marching to the Prime Minister’s residence. My mother did not want to leave the country even at the last moment. She went to the military airbase and told her sister that she did not want to go, but I talked to her and persuaded her to go. I told her to go because they will kill you.
Pakistan instigated fire in Bangladesh
Responding to a question, he said, “I don’t think China is involved in this because it has never been involved in our internal affairs. We were friends with every country. We had good relations with China and India. We consider India our best friend. We also had good relations with the US, but Pakistan (ISI) has always been against the independence of Bangladesh. We fought them for independence, so I doubt that ISI was involved in instigating the protests.”
Where did the students get the guns from?
He questioned that when the protest was going on peacefully, where did the students get guns from? So the police used excessive force to stop them. Even after this, our government immediately suspended the police officers who took action against them, but the whole incident was designed to provoke. The protest grew and they demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister. The protesters attacked police stations with guns. Where did they get guns from?
