Team India counterattacks in Pune Test, bowls out New Zealand for 255; Now the target of 359 runs is in front

India vs New Zealand 2nd Test, Pune: Team India made a strong counterattack in the second Test being played in Pune. At one time it seemed that the New Zealand team would easily win this match, but the strong spin bowling of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar turned the tables on Team India. In the second innings the New Zealand team could score only 255 runs. Now Team India will have to score 359 runs to win.

In the first innings, New Zealand had scored 259 runs thanks to the strong half-centuries of Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. Washington Sundar had taken seven wickets for India. After this, Team India was bundled out for 156 runs in its first innings. In this way the Kiwi team got a huge lead of 103 runs. Now in the second innings, New Zealand has scored 255 runs and has given India a target of 359 runs.

Captain Tom Latham scored the highest 86 runs for New Zealand in the second innings. Devon Conway was out after scoring 17 runs, Will Young 23, Rachin Ravindra 09 and Daryl Mitchell 18 runs. There was a partnership of 48 runs for the sixth wicket between Tom Blundell 41 and Glenn Phillips 48 not out. But in the first session on the third day, the Indian bowlers made a strong comeback. Indian bowlers destroyed New Zealand by taking five wickets in just one hour on the third day. However, Glenn Phillips returned unbeaten on 48 runs. In the second innings, Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets, Washington Sundar took four and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets for India.

Earlier, by the end of the second day’s play, New Zealand had scored 198 runs after losing five wickets. On the third day, the Kiwi batsmen scored runs easily in the first 15 minutes.
