Telangana CM Revanth Reddy: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s troubles have increased. On Tuesday (September 24, 2024), he received a summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the 2015 note for vote case. He has been asked to appear before the court on or before October 16.
In 2015, when KCR was in power, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy was caught on camera offering Rs 50 lakh to a nominated MLA. Revanth Reddy had offered money to MLA Elvis Stephenson in exchange for votes in the MLC elections. Later, Revanth Reddy was arrested by the Telangana Police.
KTR made this allegation
BRS Working President KTR also met Telangana Chief Minister Revant Reddy has accused him of corruption. Speaking to the media, KTR said that Telangana Chief Minister Revant Reddy is accused of a ₹8,888 crore corruption scam centred on fake tender allocation under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
The Supreme Court had warned
In the 2015 note for vote case, the Supreme Court had also directed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday (September 20). The Supreme Court had asked Revanth Reddy not to interfere in any way with the prosecution’s work in the proceedings of this case, in which he is an accused.
A bench of Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice K.V. Vishwanathan on Friday refused to transfer the hearing of the case from Telangana to Bhopal. The bench said that the Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) will not report to the Chief Minister regarding the prosecution of the case. Let us tell you that earlier the Supreme Court had Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was also angered by the remarks he made on Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader K. Kavitha being granted bail in the alleged scam in the Delhi Excise Policy.
