The alliance will not break in UP! Formula set in by-elections, know how many seats SP-Congress will contest on

For the by-elections to be held on 10 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP), a constituent of ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India), will contest on eight seats and Congress on two seats. Ghaziabad and Khair seats have gone to Congress.

According to PTI report, SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said on Thursday that as per the agreement for the by-elections, Congress will field its candidate from Khair assembly seat of Aligarh district as well as Ghaziabad seat. At the same time, Congress state unit president Ajay Rai said that he has no information about this yet and Congress was demanding five seats.

Just two seats for Congress
SP has also announced its candidate for the by-election of Meerapur seat. The party has made Sumbul Rana its candidate for this seat. SP has so far declared its candidates on seven seats and has left two seats for Congress. In which 10 assembly seats of the state are Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar), Karhal (Mainpuri), Milkipur (Ayodhya), Mirapur (Muzaffarnagar), Ghaziabad, Majhwan (Mirzapur), Sisamau (Kanpur Nagar), Khair (Aligarh), Phulpur (Prayagraj) and By-election is to be held on Kundarki (Moradabad).

By-election will not be held on Milkipur seat

On Tuesday, the Election Commission had announced by-elections on nine out of 10 vacant assembly seats in the state except Milkipur assembly seat in Ayodhya district. By-election was not announced for Milkipur seat due to a petition pending in the court. Of these, nine seats will be for MLAs elected in the year 2022. Lok Sabha elections Had become vacant after being elected as MP. Sisamau seat has become vacant due to the conviction of SP MLA Irfan Solanki in a criminal case.

By-election will be held on 13 November
According to the Election Commission, by-elections will be held on November 13 for Uttar Pradesh Assembly seats (Karhal), (Kunderki), (Katehari), (Sisamau), (Khair), (Ghaziabad Sadar), (Mirapur), Majhwa and Phulpur. And the results will be declared on 23rd November.
