There were injury marks on the body, the victim was raped by more than one person…revealed in the postmortem report of the victim

Kolkata Rape-Murder Case: Every day new revelations are being made about the brutality that happened with the female doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The postmortem report of the female doctor who was raped and murdered states that she had to face penetration multiple times. Not only this, but injury marks have also been found on the female doctor’s body. The report shows how brutally the sexual crime was committed against her.

According to PTI, the report also states that the victim’s death is a case of ‘murder’ and ‘antemortem’. This also negates the claims that the victim was raped even after the murder. In simple terms, ‘antemortem’ means such an act which is done to someone just before their death. The report states that injuries caused with the intention of murder are antemortem, which show sexual penetration. This means that the victim was raped forcefully.

Kolkata rape victim has injury marks on her lips, nose and cheeks

The postmortem report states that the time of death of the female doctor was between 3 am and 5 am. The victim had external injuries on her body, including her lower and upper lips, nose, cheeks and lower jaw. Injuries to the temporal bone of her skull and blood clotting on the front part of it were also reported. India Today reports that the victim’s mouth was sealed and her head was pressed against the wall so that she could not scream for help.

I was raped more than once: Doctor

RG Kar Medical College alumnus Subarna Goswami has also seen the post-mortem report. She claimed that the report indicates that there was multiple penetration.

He said that the report also proves how the victim was brutalised. There were more than one person there and she was sexually assaulted more than once. This shows barbarism. After the rape, she was first strangled by putting pressure on her neck and then strangulated to death.
