Virat Kohli Training Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024: Virat Kohli’s form in Test matches remains a matter of concern for India. This year he has scored only 250 runs in 12 innings. Meanwhile, Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is about to start, before that R Sridhar, who was the fielding coach of the Indian team, has made a surprising revelation. Kohli was also seen sweating profusely in the nets for the upcoming series against Australia. Now Sridhar has told how and for how long does ‘King Kohli’ train.
According to TOI, R Sridhar said that this is a different phase of Virat Kohli’s career, but he is still at his peak in terms of fitness. The former fielding coach said that Kohli might have played 1000-1500 balls on Australian pitches even before playing the first Test match. According to him, Kohli trains at a different level in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia).
Virat Kohli’s training
R Sridhar said, “Whenever Virat Kohli goes to play in SENA countries, he puts in all his strength in training even before the first Test. He comes 10-12 days before and does a lot of training sessions. He faces 200-250 balls in a training session and likes to spend a lot of time in the nets. But it should be the hardest to play.”
These training figures are very interesting because an entire T20 match ends in 240 balls. In Border-Gavaskar Trophy history, Virat Kohli has batted in 41 innings of 24 matches, in which he has 1,979 runs to his name. He has also played 8 century innings in the history of this series against Australia.
