‘We will eliminate Naxalism from Chhattisgarh by March 2026’, Amit Shah praised Sai government

Chhattisgarh News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that Chhattisgarh Police has made major achievements in the fight against Naxalism in the last one year and the Central and State governments are committed to eliminate this problem from the state before March 31, 2026.

Addressing the ‘President’s Police Color Award’ ceremony at the Police Parade ground here, Shah praised the rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government to deal with Naxalism and requested the Naxalites to give up their arms and join the mainstream.

He said that when Chhattisgarh will be free from Naxalism, the entire country will be free from this problem. Shah said that the ‘President’s Color Award’ is not just an award, but it is a symbol of service, dedication and sacrifice and is a reminder of the countless challenges that the police have to deal with.

Shah expressed confidence that Chhattisgarh Police will discharge its responsibilities and will never step back from its duty. He said, “I am confident that from tomorrow, when the Chhattisgarh Police personnel will come out with this symbol on their uniform, their morale will increase manifold.” The Union Minister said that the state and central governments together will make Chhattisgarh before March 31, 2026. Will completely eliminate Naxalism.

He said that when Chhattisgarh becomes Naxal free, the entire country will get rid of this problem. He said that in the last one year, Chhattisgarh Police has made important achievements in the fight against Naxalism. He said that in the last one year in the state, 287 Naxalites were killed, 1,000 were arrested and 837 Naxalites surrendered.

Shah said that Chhattisgarh Police, along with the country’s security forces, has put the last nail in the coffin of Naxalism in the last one year. He said that this is the first time in the last four decades that the number of civilians and security forces killed in Naxalite violence has been less than 100. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naxalism has been controlled in the entire country in 10 years. Shah also appealed to the Naxalites to give up violence and join the mainstream.

He said, “I would like to appeal to the Naxalites that our state government has made a very good surrender policy and hence they should give up violence. They should join the mainstream, move forward on the path of development and also contribute to the development of Chhattisgarh.
