According to the exit poll of ABP News-C Voter, Congress is expected to get 100-112 seats out of 224, BJP 83-95 seats, JDS 21-29 seats and others 2-6 seats. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that We are 200% sure that BJP is going to form the government again with full majority. We are going to form government in Karnataka – Bommai
The Chief Minister said that according to our ground information, we are getting 100% majority. The actual results will come on May 13 and wait for the same day. Exit polls are not 100% accurate. If you see in the previous elections, BJP has always benefited from the more voters who came to vote. People voted more in urban areas which is a positive message for BJP. Former Chief Minister of Karnataka and senior BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa said that we are going to get majority and form the government in Karnataka.
What did Congress leaders say?
Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar said that I do not believe in these (exit poll) figures because all the surveys are giving different figures. I stand by my figure of 146+. The people of Karnataka also want a change in Karnataka which is free from corruption. The double engine government in Karnataka has failed. Congress leader Siddaramaiah said that the Congress party will get sufficient majority. I will win comfortably in Varuna constituency. Congress party is going to get majority, exit polls are also telling that Congress is going to come to power.
“We will form the government”
Congress leader Priyank Kharge said that I have not yet seen the exit poll figures, but if I believe the words of the people, then it is clear that the Congress party is forming the government. We are very close to forming the government. I have full hope that once the counting of votes is done on May 13, we will form the government.
