What happened in the court that Justice Saurabh Shyam had to say- ‘Kalyug has arrived’

Elderly Couple’s Alimony Plea: After disputes between husband and wife, many cases are pending in the courts regarding the demand of alimony. Meanwhile, a case has come up in Allahabad High Court, seeing which Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsheri, who is hearing the case, also expressed surprise.

This case of a wife demanding alimony from her husband is quite shocking in itself. Usually such cases do not come to the court. In fact, an 80-year-old husband has approached the Allahabad High Court against his 75-year-old wife demanding alimony.

Justice said- ‘Kaliyug has arrived’

According to NDTV report, seeing this elderly couple fighting a legal battle against each other for alimony, Allahabad High Court on Tuesday (September 25) made a strong remark saying that it seems that Kali Yuga (the age of darkness described in Hinduism) has arrived.

While hearing the case of this elderly couple, Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery also tried to advise them. Along with this, he said that the legal battle is a matter of concern. Aligarh resident Munesh Kumar Gupta has filed a petition in Allahabad High Court against the demand for alimony made by his wife.

The family court had given the verdict in favor of the wife

It is noteworthy that the family court had given an order in favour of the 75-year-old wife while deciding on her petition demanding maintenance allowance. This order of the family court was challenged by 80-year-old Munesh Kumar Gupta in the Allahabad High Court.

After hearing the case, Allahabad High Court has issued a notice to the wife. The High Court has said that it hopes that they will reach some settlement by the next hearing.
