In which phase, how many seats were voted in Jammu and Kashmir elections?

• First phase: The first phase of elections was held on September 18, in which 61.38 percent voting took place in 24 assembly seats.
• Second phase: The second phase of elections was held on September 25, in which 57.31 percent voting took place in 26 assembly seats.
• Third phase: The third phase of elections was held on October 1, in which the highest voting percentage of 66.56 percent was recorded on 40 assembly seats.

Results of previous elections in Jammu and Kashmir

The last elections in Jammu and Kashmir were held in 2014, which were completed in five phases from 25 November to 20 December 2014. In the elections of Jammu and Kashmir which has 87 assembly seats, People’s Democratic Party got 28 seats, BJP got 25 seats. So, 15 candidates were won by National Conference, 12 by Indian National Congress, one by Communist Party of India, one by Jammu Kashmir People’s Democratic Front, two by Jammu Kashmir People’s Conference and three independent candidates won.

The last elections in Haryana, which has 90 assembly seats, were held on 21 October 2019 and the results were declared on 24 October 2019. At this time, Bharatiya Janata Party won the maximum seats and formed the government after the elections by forming an alliance with Jannayak Janata Party and seven independent MLAs. Manohar Lal Khattar from BJP and Dushyant Chautala from Jannayak Janata Party were sworn in as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
