AAP Candidates List: BJP, which is always in election mode, and Congress, which becomes active before every election, were still waiting for the election results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand, when Aam Aadmi Party, going one step ahead of both of them, announced the list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. The first list has been released.
Creating a psychological edge over BJP and Congress, the names of 11 candidates announced by Kejriwal have been more special for BJP and Congress than for Aam Aadmi Party, hence BJP and Congress are also keeping an eye on this list.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, on November 21 itself, Arvind Kejriwal has killed two birds with one stone by releasing the list of 11 candidates of Aam Aadmi Party. By releasing the list of candidates, Kejriwal has also announced that he does not need Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections and he is ready to enter this electoral battle alone. Kejriwal’s second message to BJP is that even though BJP calls itself an election winning machine, when it comes to Delhi, Kejriwal will make the first move.
Whereas if we are talking about 11 candidates, then among them there are 6 candidates who have either been a part of BJP or members of Congress in history. In this matter, Arvind Kejriwal has taken care of both BJP and Congress and has given the broom to three leaders each who were part of both the parties.
Earlier he was a BJP leader and Kejriwal made him the candidate.
Brahm Singh Tanwar, Bibi Tyagi and Anil Jha, who left BJP’s lotus and came with Kejriwal’s broom, are now candidates of Aam Aadmi Party. Brahm Singh Tanwar was a big face of BJP in South Delhi and Delhi Dehat, who was MLA three times. But after coming together with Kejriwal, he is the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Chhatarpur. AAP has made BB Tyagi, former mayor of East Delhi Municipal Corporation, its candidate from Laxminagar assembly seat, who had lost the assembly elections from Laxminagar while being in BJP. Anil Jha has been a two-time MLA from Kirari on BJP ticket. This time his seat is the same old but the party is now Aam Aadmi Party.
Congress leaders also joined AAP
If we talk about Congress, then three prominent leaders of Congress are now part of Aam Aadmi Party, whom Arvind Kejriwal has made his candidate in the Delhi Assembly elections. The first name among these is that of Zubair Chaudhary, who is contesting from Seelampur seat. His father Matin Choudhary has been a strong leader of Congress, who had won the assembly elections from Seelampur five times. Sumesh Shaukeen, who was a Congress leader, was a two-time MLA from Delhi Dehat and now he is contesting elections from Matiala on the broom symbol.
Another strong leader of Congress has been Veer Singh Dhingan, who has been MLA from Seemapuri three times. And now he has joined AAP and is again contesting elections from Seemapuri. Rest, Arvind Kejriwal has made Deepak Singla, who lost the election in 2020, his candidate from Vishnas Nagar, Sarita Singh from Rohtas Nagar and Ram Singh Netaji from Badarpur. Gaurav Sharma from Ghonda seat and Manoj Tyagi from Karawal Nagar are AAP candidates.
Rest, this is your first list. Candidates are yet to be announced for 59 seats. As far as BJP and Congress are concerned, perhaps after the results of Maharashtra-Jharkhand are declared on 23rd November, they too will announce their candidates.
