Will Ramdas Athawale increase BJP’s tension? The party made this big announcement

Haryana Assembly Election 2024: Republican Party of India (Athawale) led by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has announced to contest Haryana Assembly elections on 8-10 seats. On the remaining seats, the party will support its ally BJP.

Haryana unit president of Ramdas Athawale’s party, Ravi Sonu Kundli, on Monday said that if an agreement is reached with the BJP, the RPA(A) will contest only two seats and leave the rest for the senior NDA ally.

‘Will contest elections on 8-10 seats’
He further said that discussions are going on with the BJP regarding seat sharing. If there is no agreement with the BJP, the Republican Party will field candidates on 8 to 10 seats and support BJP candidates on the remaining 80 seats. He said that RPI (A) has emerged as a major party for Dalits in the country and it will gain momentum in Haryana, where elections are to be held on October 5.

There was a demand for tickets on these seats
Let us tell you that RPI (A), a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Center, had approached the BJP for an alliance and sought two SC-reserved seats – Mullana (Ambala) and Nilokheri (Karnal) for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. However, the BJP has not said anything on the possibility of an alliance in the poll-bound state.

Meanwhile, RPI (A) North India president Manju Chhibber said the party is looking to expand. We had earlier contested the Punjab assembly elections and we have two MLAs in Nagaland. We are also going to contest the upcoming Haryana elections.

Chhibber said that if BJP does not give us even two seats, we will field candidates on 10 seats and fight strongly. He said that our alliance with BJP is strong and our aim is to focus on public welfare issues and serve the people of the state.
