Will the weather spoil the fun of Chhath festival? IMD’s update from UP-Bihar to Delhi and South India

IMD Weather Alert: The weather patterns are going to change in many parts of the country amid festivals. Chhath Mahaparva is starting from Tuesday (5 November 2024), so there is a fear that the color of the festival may get spoiled due to the changing weather. According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of heavy rain in some states in the coming days, while in some parts a slight drop in temperature may be seen. Let us know how the weather will be for the next seven days according to the latest information from IMD.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of dense fog in the morning in eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh on 4 and 5 November. There will be a decrease in visibility during this period, due to which there will be a need to be careful while driving. The minimum temperature in the Indo-Gangetic plains of North India is 2-4 degrees above normal, while in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh it is 3-5 degrees above normal. There is no possibility of any significant change in temperature in the next 3-4 days.

Fear of heavy rain in South India

There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and parts of Karnataka on November 4 and again from November 8 to 11. Besides, an alert of heavy rain has also been issued in Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Puducherry, Karaikal and Mahe during this period. During the rain, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning and thunder. Along with this, there may be heavy rain in the coastal areas of Odisha.

IMD Director Manorama Mohanty said, “The weather will remain dry over the state during the next 7 days, but light to moderate rain is expected over the coastal region of Odisha. Seasonal rainfall during the monsoon was around 1092 mm, although the rainfall was 5% below normal. Was.”

Effect of clear sky and haze in Delhi-NCR

A slight drop in temperature has been observed in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature here remains between 31-33 degrees Celsius and the minimum remains between 13-18 degrees. The sky will remain clear in the coming days, but there is a possibility of fog or fog in the morning and night.
