CEC Rajeev Kumar’s special appeal before voting in Karnataka, said this to urban voters

CEC Rajiv Kumar Appeal: On the eve of the Karnataka assembly elections to be held on May 10, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar appealed to the state’s 5.3 crore voters to participate in large numbers. A statement in this regard was issued on Tuesday (May 9) from the office of the Election Commission of India in Delhi. For the elections to the 224-member assembly, 58,545 polling stations have been set up in the state. It was said in the statement that 11.71 lakh voters, especially those who are going to vote for the first time, should participate in the voting with enthusiasm.

According to the statement, the Chief Election Commissioner urged the young and urban voters of the country’s IT capital to take inspiration from older voters such as 103-year-old Mahadev Mahalinga Mali and actively participate in the festival of democracy and vote in urban areas of the state. Let’s beat the current trend of apathy.

The statement said that Mahadev Mahalinga Mali, an inspiration to the young voters, who cast his vote from his home in Chikkodi, Belagavi, was personally called and thanked by the Chief Election Commissioner.
