Rahul Gandhi Jana Garjana Public Meeting: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday (July 2) launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), saying that his ‘remote control’ was the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi is near. Describing Telangana’s ruling party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as the ‘B-Team of BJP’, the Congress leader renamed it as ‘BJP relative party’.
Going on the offensive against CM KCR, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress will not be a part of any opposition meeting in which BRS would be included. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said this while addressing a public meeting in Khammam district of Telangana.
BRS stands for BJP Relative Committee – Rahul Gandhi
The Congress leader said in Khammam, “We talked about uniting the country during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The entire country supported the yatra and showed that they do not support spreading hatred and violence, but unite the country.” Khammam is a Congress bastion and people here have always shown their support.” The Congress leader said that the people here understand our ideology.
Rahul Gandhi said that Telangana had only one dream, the dream of the poor, farmers and laborers. He said that the BRS party tried to crush this dream for 9 years. Taking a jibe at KCR, Rahul Gandhi said that now TRS has changed its name to BRS-BJP relative committee.
‘Never compromise with BJP’s B team’
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the contest in Telangana is directly between Congress and BJP’s B team BRS. He said that just as the Congress defeated the BJP in Karnataka, it will defeat its B-team in Telangana. Rahul Gandhi said,”During the opposition meeting in Delhi, we made it clear to the opposition that Congress will not attend the meeting if BRS is part of the meeting. We can never compromise with BJP’s B team.
Gandhi alleged that corruption charges against KCR and his party leaders have forced them (BRS) to bow down to the BJP. He said that KCR (K Chandrasekhar Rao) thinks that he is the king and Telangana is his princely state.
