Forms for PM internship will be filled from October 12, youth will get Rs 5,000 per month, do it from here

PM Internship: The Central Government has started the pilot project PM Internship Scheme with the aim of making the youth employable. For this, online applications can be made from October 12. The internship will be for one year and the selected youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 5,000 every month. Apart from this, a lump sum amount of Rs 6,000 will be given at the beginning of the internship itself. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had given information about this scheme during her budget speech.

Under PM Internship Scheme, youth will get an opportunity to do internship in top 500 companies of India. The objective of this scheme is to develop the skills of 1 crore youth of the country in the coming 5 years. Candidates selected for PM internship will be given financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand in lump sum and Rs 5 per month.

Application for PM internship from October 12
Government sources said that there is a plan to provide internship opportunities to 1.25 lakh youth in the current financial year. This scheme is estimated to cost Rs 800 crore. Many companies of the country have shown interest in this scheme. Recently, travel booking platform EaseMyTrip has announced the appointment of more than 500 interns in the next 3 to 6 months. Youth will be able to apply for this scheme from midnight of 12th October. By October 10, companies will give information about internship as per their needs.

Application for PM internship will be done through this website
Candidates interested in PM Internship will be able to register on www.pminternship.mca.gov.in website from midnight of 12th October. The list of shortlisted candidates will be given to the companies by 26th October. The government has chosen the auspicious day of Vijayadashami for registration on this portal. Till now 111 companies have participated in this scheme, apart from this the states of Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Telangana and Gujarat are included.

Internship will start from 2nd December
After receiving the list of shortlisted candidates from the government, the companies will make the final selection from October 27. After this, internship will start from December 2, 2024. The youth selected in the PM Internship Scheme will also be given insurance cover under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. The government will pay its premium on its own behalf. Apart from this, companies can also provide additional accident insurance cover.

Eligibility for PM Internship
To avail the benefit of PM Internship Scheme, the age limit of the candidate has been fixed at 21 to 24 years. Apart from this, the annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 8 lakh. At present, people doing formal degree course or job will not be given the benefit of the scheme. However, such candidates can become a part of online courses or vocational training.
