Just before the elections, is the fire in the Satpura building reaching the Shivraj government?

On June 12 at around 3.30 pm, a fire broke out in Satpura Bhavan, the second largest government office in Bhopal. Due to short circuit, the fire started from the third floor and reached the sixth floor. This fierce fire was extinguished at 12 noon on Tuesday. Now after full 10 hours the fire in Satpura Bhavan has been extinguished but it has put Madhya Pradesh government and state CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the dock.

Actually, this fire has turned more than 13 thousand government files into ashes, due to which the politics of the state has heated up.

On the other hand, the State Human Rights Commission After this incident, notices have been sent to Bhopal Collector Ashish Singh, Commissioner Malsingh Bhadiya and Municipal Corporation. In the notice, the commission has sought a reply on the fire incident within three weeks. The commission has raised the question that why did it take 10 hours to douse the fire despite having 80 percent fire brigade personnel in the corporation’s fire brigade?

First know on which floor the fire broke out and Which offices are there

The first fire broke out on the third floor of this building. On the third floor of the Satpura building, there is the office of the Scheduled Tribe Regional Development Scheme. The fire spread from the third floor to the fourth, fifth and sixth floors. There are offices of the health department on all these three floors.

Fire in Satpura Bhavan reaches Shivraj government

It is five months since the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh There is also less time left. In such a situation, it took 10 hours to extinguish the fire in the government office, which has exposed the government running in election event mode.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had also requested Delhi for help to extinguish this fire.

Shivraj Singh is the longest serving Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh. Record made. He is also considered the most experienced politician. In such a situation, taking so long to extinguish a fire in a building clearly shows that the machinery of the state government is not capable of dealing with major accidents.

What do senior journalists say

Senior journalist, Nitin Dubey: The question is that before the elections Why does the fire start? There are many allegations of corruption in all the departments whose files have been burnt. Health department is the main one in this. In such a situation, the claim of the opposition gets strengthened that the government is burning the file of corruption.

Senior Journalist, Rajesh Pandey: However, senior journalist Rajesh Pandey has a completely different opinion. He said in a conversation with ABP that I do not think that this incident will have any significant impact in the coming assembly elections. Yes, it is definitely that questions will be raised about the weakness of the fire extinguishing system with the government, but it will not affect the election much.

There has been a fire in December 2018 and in the year 2013 as well

Please inform that earlier on December 14, 2018 just after the assembly elections There was a fire in this Satpura building. At that time, a large number of sensitive and confidential documents were burnt to ashes by this fire.

Earlier in the year 2013, even before the assembly elections, the flames had burnt the files on the third floor of the same building. Now once again, about four months before the assembly elections, there has been a fire here. This is the reason why the state’s opposition party BJP is continuously attacking.

What did the Shivraj government say on the repeated fires

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra while talking to ABP said, "Firstly, before this the fire started after the formation of the government. Secondly, even if there was a fire before the elections, you (Congress) had come after the elections, then what did you do for fifteen months?

Narottam Mishra hit back at the Congress and said That the fire started in his time, but he has to say something. He said that Congress does not talk on facts.

What is the biggest challenge before the government?

After the fire in the second largest government building in the state, now the biggest challenge before the government Those burnt data will have to be collected and the office started afresh.

It is being said that in this incident documents related to establishment of health services, complaint branch and assembly question kept in departments. have been burnt. Even in this building there were files related to purchases made in the health department and payments made to hospitals during the Corona period. However, there has not been any official confirmation of this.

Let us tell you that in the month of May itself, after the public interest litigation of Jabalpur’s advocate Manoj Kumar, the High Court has given an order to implement the Fire and Emergency Service Act in this state.

The negligence in the fire incident in Satpura Bhavan was so much that even the fire audit of this government building was not conducted. Because of which there was so much delay in extinguishing the fire.

Action of CM Shivraj

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a review meeting at CM House after this incident. According to Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, ‘CM has constituted a high level committee for investigation.’

Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said on the allegations of the Congress, ‘There were no such important documents that such work could be done. Congress’s allegations are baseless. More than 4000 employees work in Satpura Bhavan, why would someone do such a conspiracy.’
