Minister Nitin Gadkari: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Monday that votes are cast on the politics of service and welfare of the people and not on posters. Gadkari said that he will not do anything like putting up posters or serving tea to people in his constituency in the next election and those who want to vote will vote and those who don’t want to will not vote.

Along with this, despite not putting up posters and banners, he expressed confidence of increasing his victory margin in the next elections. The Union Minister was addressing a program organized on the death anniversary of former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at Khachariawas village in Sikar district of Rajasthan on Monday (May 15).

I will not put up posters, banners in elections

He said “I contested from a very tough constituency. I was denied by all the leaders, I fought with determination and now I have decided that in the next election I will not put up posters, banners… I will not drink tea and I will not do anything… whoever has to give will vote… whoever does not want to give… will not give… I believe that earlier there was a difference of 3.5 lakh votes and now it will increase by one and a half lakh.”

Posters do not win elections

He said that one does not win elections with posters, does not get votes. Gadkari said, “Votes are obtained from the politics of service. Votes are obtained from the politics of development, votes are obtained from the welfare of the poor in the villages. Votes are obtained from serving the people by providing health education facilities and employment to the youth. Giving.. giving good schools to children and giving good hospitals to the poor gets votes.”

This will be the true tribute to Bhairon Singh

He said that “The service policy that Bhairon Singh ji was saying will not be done by words only..not by books..it will not be done by research..it will be based on the ideals and thoughts and principles of his life, not just by words. Work will have to be done keeping no difference between words and behavior.. This will be a true tribute to him in true sense.”

Minister Nitin Gadkari said that today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the situation has changed over time, farmers have become Annadata, later farmers have become Ujradata and bitumen is being made from biomass. He said that he is building an electric highway from Delhi to Jaipur and when the electric bus will run, the ticket fare will be 30 percent less than the present.

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod, Deputy Leader of Opposition Satish Poonia and other BJP leaders were present in the programme.
