Jammu-Kashmir News: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has attached an under-construction house of an aide helping terrorists in Danwathpora Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The Special Investigation Unit of the police attached the Hizbul terrorist’s house after getting approval from the authorities.
J&K Police informed that during the investigation of Kokernag Police under UA(P) Act, an under-construction residential house was found. It was used by the terrorists of the terrorist organization HM. This house belonged to Mohammad Ishaq Malik, a terrorist associate resident of Danwathpora Kokernag.
The process of attachment of property belonging to the accused was designated as an act of militancy by the SIU Anantnag under section 25 of the UA(P) Act. The attachment of the property was approved by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. Along with this, the police has once again issued a warning to the general public.
Appeal not to give shelter to terrorists
Police appeals that no one should give shelter to the militants and their associates in the houses and should not provide logistic support to them. Police has said that strict legal action will be taken if the warning is not followed. The SIU will continue its counter-terrorist operations to identify and attach and seize properties that come under the ambit of terrorism proceeds to target extremist funding operations.
More than 50 properties sealed
The Special Investigation Unit has so far identified 188 properties in Jammu and Kashmir which have either been notified or are in the process of being notified for further legal action and more than 50 properties have been sealed.
