Rahul Gandhi’s first statement on the convoy being stopped, ‘It is unfortunate that…’

Rahul Gandhi Convoy Stopped In Manipur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on Manipur tour, but now politics has heated up regarding his visit. Actually, on Thursday (June 29) morning when Rahul was going towards Churachandpur, his convoy was stopped at Bishnupur itself. On behalf of the police, an appeal was made to him to go by helicopter.

Since then, there was a tussle between the Congress and the BJP. While the Congress accused the BJP of stopping Rahul, the BJP retaliated by saying that only the people of Manipur are opposing Rahul’s visit. However, after all this, Rahul Gandhi reached the camp of Churachandpur by helicopter and met the people present there.

What did Rahul Gandhi say when the convoy was stopped?

After meeting and talking to people in Churachandpur, Rahul Gandhi also reacted to the stopping of his convoy by tweeting. They said, ” “I have come to listen to all my brothers and sisters of Manipur. People from all communities are very welcoming and loving. It is very unfortunate that the government is stopping me. Peace should be our only priority.”

Had food with the children in the relief camp

There itself, In the Churachandpur relief camp, Rahul met the people and talked to them and listened to their problems. He also had lunch with the children at the relief camp set up in a school there.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Moirang canceled

On the other hand, Manipur Congress President Keesham Meghchandra said, “Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Moirang has been cancelled. The administration did not allow him to come to Moirang. Neither by road nor by air. He will visit the violence-affected people only in Churachandpur.” He is returning to Imphal and will spend the night there. Nothing can be said about his visits tomorrow.”
