Severe heat and heat wave will continue, mercury reaches 42 degrees in UP, how is the weather in the country including Delhi

Changes are being seen in the weather across the country. Due to increase in temperature in more than half of the country, the incidence of extreme heat and heat wave has started increasing. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum mercury can reach around 44 to 45 degrees Celsius in some states. Due to the persistence of low pressure area in Northeast India, weather activities are expected during the next 48 hours.

Alert for North East
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for winds at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers and heavy rain in Arunachal, Sikkim, Nagaland and some parts of Odisha and Meghalaya. During this period there will be a danger of lightning. Meanwhile, a new western disturbance is becoming active in the mountains from Thursday (April 16), whose impact will be more visible in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Due to increase in temperature across North India, heat can cause trouble in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi-NCR. And heat wave conditions seem to be forming at some places.

When will it rain in Delhi
Due to clear weather in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas for the last several days, an increase in minimum and maximum temperatures is being recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry throughout the week. For the next 5 days, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 36 to 39 degrees Celsius and the minimum is likely to be around 21 to 28 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light thunderstorm and rain in the entire NCR with thunder and lightning from April 19.

People have been asked to be cautious while leaving their homes to avoid heat waves. There is a possibility of heat wave activities increasing in Bihar from next week.

Rajasthan started heating up
The maximum temperature is increasing in Rajasthan, especially in the districts of Gujarat and border areas. Barmer is the hottest city with a temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius, while in Kota too the temperature has reached above 41 degrees.
