The minister said, we have evacuated about 40,000 people from these coastal villages to a safer place. The Gujarat government said that so far 74,345 people have been taken to temporary shelter camps in eight coastal districts – Kutch, Jamnagar, Morbi, Rajkot, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Junagadh, Porbandar and Gir Somnath.
