Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Wednesday sought permission from Delhi Police to protest at Jantar Mantar on June 20. This will be the second peaceful protest of this organization in the country’s capital. CJP’s chief spokesperson Saurav Das said that he spent the whole day at Sansad Marg police station completing the paperwork and collecting necessary documents regarding the protest plan.

Das said in a video message that we have completed all the necessary formalities and they have been formally informed about the protest at Jantar Mantar. He said that I have completed all the formalities as per the complete plan, number of volunteers and the requirement of the police. Now we are just hoping to get permission to protest.

Saurav Das said that we have promised full cooperation and we have assured them (Delhi Police) that like our other protests across the country, this protest will also be peaceful. According to him, people from many states will participate in this demonstration and their main demand is that the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned.

What did CJP spokesperson say?
CJP spokesperson said that we hope that Delhi Police will see this as a legitimate demand, because there is no reason why Delhi Police should stop us from our right to assemble peacefully at Jantar Mantar. He ended his speech with the slogan of Delhi Chalo.
