RRB ALP Recruitment 2026: Great news has come from Railways for the youth across the country. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notice of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment, a total of 11,127 posts will be filled in different railway zones of the country. This is considered to be a great opportunity for ITI, Diploma and Engineering pass youth who have been waiting for Railway recruitment for a long time.
At present a short notice has been issued, while a detailed notification will be issued soon. All the necessary information like zone wise vacancies, exam syllabus, application fee, reservation rules and medical standards will be given in it.
When will the applications start?
The online application process for RRB ALP recruitment will start from 15 May 2026. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply till 14 June 2026. Applications will be accepted through online mode only. Candidates will have to register on the centralized portal, fill the form and select the Railway Recruitment Board of their choice at the same time.
How much salary will you get?
The post of Assistant Loco Pilot comes under Level-2 pay scale of 7th Pay Commission. After selection on this post, the starting salary will be Rs 19,900 per month. Along with this, other allowances and facilities of Railways will also be available, due to which the total salary increases further.
Who can apply?
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have 10th pass with ITI (NCVT/SCVT) from a recognized institute. Those with Diploma in related trade (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile), BE/B.Tech will also be able to apply. Many trades are valid for candidates doing ITI, such as Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Machinist, Turner, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic etc.
What is the age limit?
The minimum age of the candidates applying is 18 years. Whereas the maximum age has been fixed at 30 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per rules.
