How is the training of women commandos in SPG, how much salary do they get after joining?

Whenever it comes to the security of the Prime Minister of India, the first name that comes to mind is SPG. SPG i.e. Special Protection Group was established in 1985 to provide security to the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers and their immediate family members. Women are also included in this group, who have to go through special training like men. Let us know what training the women SPG commandos have to undergo and how much salary they get.

Everyone dreams of getting directly recruited in the Special Protection Group (SPG), the most important force of the country’s security, but this dream is not fulfilled so easily. There is no provision for direct recruitment in SPG. In this special security force, only soldiers selected from Indian Police Service (IPS), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are included. But this selection is also not easy.

The soldiers undergo intensive testing on service record, physical fitness and other parameters. This process ensures that the security of the country’s important persons is in only the most capable and conscientious hands. Behind every member of SPG lies a story of years of hard work and trials. SPG jawans change groups every year. After completion of their tenure as SPG commandos, they are sent back to their respective units.
