Left IIT job and started a startup, two girl students set up a company worth Rs 565 crore in the dairy sector.

Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra met while studying civil engineering at IIT Delhi. Both were roommates in college and were thinking of doing something different from the beginning. After completing their studies, both of them started their careers in the corporate sector, but the dream of creating something of their own always remained.

Neetu first worked as a technology analyst in a company and later became a product manager. While Kirti also worked in another company, despite a good job, both of them decided to choose their own path.

In 2019, both of them started understanding the dairy and animal husbandry sector closely. During this time, he realized that almost everything in the country is being bought and sold online, but the buying and selling of animals is still dependent on local brokers, traditional markets and mutual acquaintances. The biggest challenge before the farmers was to reach the right buyer and seller, fix the right price of the animal and get reliable information. To solve this problem, both of them decided to create a digital platform.

Animall started as a small weekend project in 2019. Its objective was to create such an online platform for farmers where they could easily buy and sell cows and buffaloes. Although the beginning was not easy, the biggest challenge was to win the trust of the farmers. For this, both the students went to the village and understood the needs of the farmers and prepared a platform which even a first-time user could easily operate. Gradually the confidence of farmers increased and the number of people using the platform also increased continuously.

Animall did not limit itself to just buying and selling animals, with time animal health, artificial insemination and other services related to dairy farmers were also added to the platform, so that farmers could get many facilities at one place.

The aim of Neetu and Kirti was to take the technology to rural India instead of limiting it only to cities, so that farmers can take better decisions related to their livelihood.

Started small or the startup grew rapidly over time. After getting the trust of investors, the company expanded its business. According to publicly available information, after the funding, the valuation of Animall reached around Rs 565 crore. According to the company, more than 1.8 lakh animals are listed for sale on the platform, while more than 10 lakh buyers and sellers have connected with each other through this app.

Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra did not study agriculture, dairy or animal husbandry, they studied civil engineering. But the ability to identify problems and create solutions that he learned at IIT helped him become successful in a completely different field.
