Recruitment for 734 constable posts for 12th pass youth, apply till 10th August

Himachal Pradesh Police has released the official notification of Constable Recruitment 2026, in which 734 police constables will be recruited. In this vacancy, a good number of posts are reserved for men as well as women. The process of online application for this recruitment has started from 10th July 2026 and you can apply till 10th August 2026.

What is the required qualification for application?

If you want to join this recruitment then you should have the following qualifications.

• studies: It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 12th class from any recognized school or board.
• Age Limit: The age of general category candidates should be between 18 years to 25 years. If you come from a reserved category like SC, ST or OBC, then you will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per government rules.

Physical fitness matters most in police job. In such a situation, the department has fixed some height rules.

• Men (General Category): Height should be at least 5 feet 6 inches.
• Female (General Category): Height should be at least 5 feet 2 inches.

You have to go through a total of four paths (stages) to become a police constable:

• Physical Standards and Efficiency Test: First of all your height and chest will be measured. After this you will have to give a ground test, which will include physical tests like running and long/high jump.
• Written Examination: Those who pass the ground test will be called for the written examination.
• Document Verification: After the written examination, merit will be prepared and the original documents of the passed children like mark sheet, caste certificate etc. will be checked.
  Medical Test: Lastly, there will be a medical examination of the body, so that it can be decided that you are completely healthy.

What will be the pattern of written examination?

The written examination will be based on a very easy and straightforward pattern.

• Total questions: A total of 90 questions will be asked in the examination. All questions will be multiple choice, that is, each question will have four options, out of which one must be chosen correctly.
• Total Marks: The entire paper will be of 90 marks.
• Time: You will get full 2 ​​hours to solve the paper.

How much salary will you get?

Selected candidates will be given salary under ‘Pay Level-3’ as per the rules of the state government. Your basic salary will start from Rs 20 thousand to Rs 64 thousand. Apart from this, many types of government allowances will also be available.
