So many people out of every 10 are becoming victims of obesity and diabetes, the figures will surprise you.


Due to poor lifestyle and eating habits, the risk of serious diseases like obesity, high BP and diabetes is increasing these days. The way this disease is increasing, the day is not far when it will take the form of an epidemic.  Obesity is a dangerous condition that can lead to serious health problems, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke and some cancers.

Obesity can also increase the risk of heart failure, even if high blood pressure. And other factors like high cholesterol are not present. Type 2 diabetes occurs when blood sugar levels are too high. About 90% of people with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese. Due to obesity, the risk of other diseases also increases. Eating sugar significantly increases the risk of serious heart diseases. The American Heart Association recommends that women consume no more than 6 teaspoons (24 grams) of added sugar per day, and men consume no more than 9 teaspoons (36 grams) of added sugar.

Indian Council of According to a report of medical research, many lifestyle related diseases are occurring in India these days. The proportion of deaths is increasing day by day. It has increased from 37 percent in 1990 to 61.8 percent in 2016. Recently a report was presented by the Health Ministry. In which death due to diabetes, cancer and respiratory diseases have been discussed. 

About 50-70 percent of diabetic patients suffer from the problem of hypertension i.e. high blood pressure. Are worried. Which can cause serious health problems. Due to this, problems like kidney disease, cardiovascular disease and nerve damage can occur.
 
Why does BP increase in diabetes? According to the doctor, there can be many reasons for the increased risk of hypertension in diabetic patients. Since both high BP and diabetes are lifestyle diseases. Therefore, due to lack of exercise, obesity, high cholesterol level, smoking, alcohol consumption and some genetic reasons, the risk of diabetes and hypertension can go together.
 
Diabetes Danger due to increase in hypertension
 
Insulin resistance 
Diabetes in some biochemical conditions The risk of hypertension increases. In such a situation, insulin resistance can occur, which is seen in type 2 diabetes. Due to insulin resistance, the body does not respond properly to insulin hormones and the glucose level in the blood increases. Accumulation of excess salt in the body and high cholesterol level can also cause insulin resistance. Due to this, the veins become hard and BP increases.
 
Effect on the nerves connected to the heart
Hypertension in diabetes. Due to this, internal damage can also occur. Due to increase in glucose level in the blood, blood vessels, nerves and kidneys start getting damaged. Due to this, the veins start swelling and they start narrowing. Due to which blood circulation can be affected. Which can also increase the risk of heart disease along with high BP. The sympathetic nervous system can also get excited in diabetes. Due to this, there may be fluctuations in the level of hormones in the body, which can cause hypertension.
 
What should be done to avoid hypertension

Reduce obesity, maintain healthy weight
Reduce salt intake
Take potassium rich diet
Exercise every day
Medications should be taken on time
Stay away from cigarettes and alcohol

Take full sleep of 6-7 hours daily. Take rest even during the day.
Do not let stress increase
Keep checking blood sugar and BP level regularly.
