Bank Holidays in September 2024: The festive season has started in India. In such a situation, there is a lot of holidays in the banks. Many festivals are falling in September, 2024. Due to this, there is going to be a continuous holiday of 9 days in the banks (Bank Holiday List). It is worth noting that the bank is an important financial institution. In such a situation, many important works get stuck due to long holidays in banks. In such a situation, the Reserve Bank of India releases the list of holidays before the beginning of the month. In this, the list of all banks from Public Bank to Private Bank, Gramin Bank etc. is released according to the states.

Banks will remain closed for several consecutive days from tomorrow

In September 2024, banks are going to remain closed due to many festivals. Banks are going to remain closed due to Barawafat, Milad-un-Nabi, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi etc. Banks are going to remain closed from 14 September to 23 September. It is worth noting that all these holidays will not be in all the states. Banks are going to remain closed for many days according to local festivals and anniversaries.

Banks will remain closed for so many days in September 2024

  • September 14, 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to second Saturday.
  • 15 September-2024- Banks will remain closed due to Sunday.
  • September 16, 2024- Due to Barawafat, banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Ranchi, Srinagar and Trivandrum.
  • September 17, 2024- Banks will remain closed in Gangtok and Raipur on account of Milad-un-Nabi.
  • September 18, 2024- Banks will remain closed in Gangtok due to Pang-Lhabsol.
  • September 20, 2024- Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
  • September 21, 2024- Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Trivandrum on Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
  • September 22, 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
  • 23 September, 2024- Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on account of birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.
  • September 28, 2024- Banks will remain closed across the country due to fourth Saturday.
  • September 29, 2024- Banks are going to remain closed across the country on Sunday.

Work will not stop even on bank holidays

There are many long weekends in the month of September due to festivals and anniversaries. In such a situation, many of your important tasks will not stop even after long holidays. You can use ATM for cash withdrawal. At the same time, you can use UPI, net banking and mobile banking to transfer money from one account to another.
