SEBI launches new helpdesk facility, now you can easily apply for settlement

SEBI Helpdesk: SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) i.e. capital market regulator SEBI has done something towards simplifying the legal procedures. Due to which now the work of giants, brokers and companies working in the market can become a little easier. After this step of SEBI, now if any person or company has to apply for settlement with SEBI, then now this process will become easier than before. For this, market regulator SEBI has started a new helpdesk facility.

Now settlement will be easy
According to SEBI, this helpdesk will help people to understand the process related to settlement application and fill the application correctly. SEBI has also issued a user manual for the use of this facility, which has been made available on its official website. Through this, interested applicants can send their questions to the helpdesk in the manner described in the manual.

What will be included in the helpdesk facility?

• Through this helpdesk, people will be able to get help in filing settlement applications.
• You will be able to get information about indicative settlement amount for settlement.
• You will also be able to see the status of your pending application.
• Answers to questions related to the application process will be available through the helpdesk.

SEBI says…
On launching this facility, SEBI says that the objective of this initiative is to make the process of settlement application simpler, transparent and more convenient, so that applicants face less hassle and can easily complete their process.

Why is there a need for helpdesk?
Let us tell you that whenever any company or person violates the rules of SEBI in the stock market, punitive action is taken against them. If any person does not want to suffer this punishment, then Sobi has also taken out a break for him. This is the ‘Settlement Proceedings Regulations, 2018’, under this, if the person or company wants to avoid penalty, then they have to close the case by paying a fixed fine. This is called settlement. To make this process easier, SEBI has started a new helpdesk.
