Chhath festival ended by offering Arghya to the rising sun.

Chhath Puja is a very special festival of Hindu religion. That is why it is called the great festival of faith. Preparations for Chhath Puja start after Diwali and the entire atmosphere becomes Chhath-like during the four days of the puja.

But after four days, when Chhath festival ends, everyone starts waiting for Chhath again. Let us tell you that today, 8 November 2024, was the last day of Chhath Puja of Kartik month.

Today Chhath fasting people completed Chhath Puja by offering Arghya to the rising sun. There is a tradition of offering Arghya to the setting and rising sun during Chhath Puja.

Arghya is offered to the setting sun on the sixth day of Kartik Shukla. There is a tradition of offering Arghya at sunrise on Saptami Tithi. The four-day Chhath festival ends after offering Arghya to Udayagami i.e. the rising sun.

Today Chhath fasting people worshiped the Sun God by offering Arghya in the auspicious Ravi Yoga. It is believed that by offering Arghya to the Sun God in this Yoga, the seeker gets freedom from troubles.

Let us tell you that Chhath Puja comes twice a year. After the completion of Kartik Chhath today, Chhath Puja will be held in the month of Chaitra in 2025. It is also called Chaiti Chhath.
