When can you start Tuesday fast?

Tuesday is the best day to worship Sankatmochan Hanuman. If you want to start Tuesday fast (mangalwar vrat), then for this you can start the fast from the Tuesday falling in Shukla Paksha of any month. You can keep fast from 21st to 45th Tuesday and after that the fast has to be broken.

Rules of Hanuman Puja and Tuesday fast (Tuesday fasting rules,

• Take special care of purity and chastity during Tuesday fast.
• People observing fast on Tuesday should not consume salt and should also stay away from smoking etc. You can observe this fast by eating fruits.
• It is auspicious to wear red or saffron colored clothes during worship on Tuesday fast. But even by mistake, do not wear white or black clothes.
• If women worship Hanuman ji, they should not wear chola but arpik.
• There is no provision to bathe Lord Hanuman with charanamrit during worship.
