Pitru Paksha 2024: These three things are necessary for Shradh in Pitru Paksha and three things are forbidden

Pitru Paksha 2024: Pitru Paksha has started from 18 September 2024 and people are performing rituals like Pinddaan, Shradh and Tarpan for their ancestors as per the date. It is believed that the ancestors are satisfied with the Shradh rituals performed with restraint and rituals in the 15 days of Pitru Paksha and they attain salvation.

But the rituals during Pitra Paksha are considered successful only when they are performed with full rules and caution. Because the mistakes made during this time can make the ancestors angry and can cause Pitra Dosh. Let us know what is necessary and what is not for Shraddha.

These 3 things are necessary for Shraadh and 3 things are prohibited-

the meaning is: To perform Shraddha Karma, the son or daughter’s son, the time of Kupat Madhya and sesame seeds are considered to be the most important three things. Anger, going from one place to another after performing Adhvagaman Shraddha and hurrying while performing Shraddha are prohibited.

Those who perform Shradh should take these precautions (Pitru Paksha 2024 Niyam)

• The person performing Shraddha should not trim his hair or beard for the entire 15 days of Pitru Paksha.
• After taking bath every day, one should offer water to the ancestors.
• Do not use things like oil, scrub etc. at this time.
• The person performing the Shraddha should observe complete celibacy.
• During Pitru Paksha, one should not consume non-vegetarian food, alcohol and tubers grown under the ground.
• The person performing the Shraddha should not donate old leather items, old or black clothes, iron, oil and stale food at this time.
