On this day, there is a great coincidence of Monday fast and Pradosh fast. Trayodashi Tithi of Sawan Krishna Paksha will start at 8 am on 10th August 2026 and will end at 4.54 am on 10th August.
Pradosh Kaal Puja Muhurta – 7.05 pm – 9.14 pm
Importance – It is described in Skanda Purana that during Pradosh period, Lord Shiva blesses the devotees in a happy posture on Kailash. The worship done at this time is considered especially fruitful. Pradosh Kaal Puja Muhurta – 6.51 pm – 09.04 pm

The word Bhaum is considered to be related to the planet Mars, hence Mangal Dosh is associated with peace along with Shiva worship on this day. What to do on the day of Pradosh fast
- Take a bath in the morning and resolve to fast and meditate on Lord Shiva.
- Anoint Shivling with water, milk, Ganga water, Panchamrit etc.
- Offer Belpatra, Dhatura, Aak flowers, white sandalwood.
- Worship Shiva especially during Pradosh Kaal (around sunset), this is considered the most auspicious time.
- Chant “Om Namah Shivay” or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.
- Recite Shiva Chalisa, Rudrashtak or Shiva Stuti.
- Do charity as per your capacity, like food, clothes or helping the needy.
