What is the connection of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s ancestors with Hindu Rajputs and Prithviraj Chauhan

Maulana Tariq Jameel: The time of Pitru Paksha is going on and during this time all the people who believe in Hindu religion are performing rituals like Pind daan, Tarpan and Shradh for the dead ancestors for the peace of their souls.

But meanwhile, a statement by Pakistan’s famous Maulana Tariq Jameel is again in the news, in which he described his ancestors as Hindus. Jameel says that his ancestors were Hindus and he considers himself a descendant of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Statement of Maulana Tariq Jameel

Tariq Jameel says that-”Prithviraj Chauhan was killed by Muhammad Ghori Rahmatullah Alaih. He had a son ‘Ramdev Chauhan’, who was converted to Islam by Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Rahmatullah Alaih. We all are descendants of that Ramdev Chauhan.”

Correction of Maulana Tariq Jameel’s statement

According to Maulana Tariq Jameel, one of Ramdev Chauhan’s sons accepted Islam from Maulana Chishti Rahmatullah and they are his descendants. However, there is a slight modification in this statement of Tariq Jameel. Because according to the information taken from the internet, the name of Prithviraj Chauhan’s only son was Govind Raj Chauhan.

The Ramdev Chauhan that Tariq Jameel talks about was the son of Maharao Hammirdev Hathi Chauhan, son of Govind Raj Chauhan. This means that Ramdev Chauhan was not Prithviraj’s son but his great-grandson.
