On Hariyali Teej, worship Shiva-Parvati only in the auspicious time. In Hinduism, worship should not be done during Rahukaal, it is considered inauspicious. Rahukaal on Hariyali Teej is from 2:06 to 3:46 in the afternoon.

Hariyali Teej is a festival related to marital bliss. Do not wear black or blue colored saree or bangles on this day even by mistake. This has a bad effect on married life. It is auspicious to use green color on Hariyali Teej.

On the day of Hariyali Teej, the husband and wife should observe celibacy. Only then can the fast yield results.

Control your senses during Teej fast. Do not get angry on this day, maintain restraint on speech. According to the scriptures, the fast is fruitful only when cleanliness is maintained in body and mind.
