Constable Committed Suicide: A case of a soldier committing suicide in the toilet of BMP campus in Dumraon of Buxar district has come to light on Wednesday (11 September). This was known when foul smell started coming from the toilet. After this, there was a stir in the entire campus. The soldiers informed the camp commandant Ajay Kumar Pandey about this incident. He informed the Dumraon police station in-charge about this. After this, the police of Dumraon police station reached the spot and brought down the body from the noose and started investigating the case.
The constable was a resident of Supaul district
According to the information received, the deceased soldier has been identified as Ajay Kumar Rai, a resident of Supaul district, aged about 35 years. Ajay Kumar Rai was a soldier of the 2008 batch and had returned from his village after spending his leave four days ago. No one knows when he went to the toilet and hanged himself. He hanged himself by turning on the tap in the toilet.
When someone was going towards the toilet, other soldiers used to go to the other toilet on hearing the water falling. However, on Wednesday, when the smell started coming, other soldiers went towards the toilet and saw Ajay Kumar Rai hanging from the noose. As soon as this information was received, there was a stir in the entire BMP.
Regarding this entire matter, police station in-charge Shambhu Bhagat told on phone that the investigation has been started after taking the body in custody. The family members have been informed about this incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem. He also told that it appears that he has committed suicide two days ago. However, there was no way to enter the room from anywhere. The door and window were closed from inside and the water tap was turned on.
Such an incident has happened earlier also in the campus
It is worth mentioning that earlier also another jawan had committed suicide in the same campus. Such frequent incidents are bound to raise questions. However, after this incident, there is a lot of discussion going on in BMP 4, however, it will be interesting to see what comes out in the police investigation.
