Bharatpur News Today: A shocking case of cyber crime has come to light from Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Where an unknown person created a fake WhatsApp group in the name of Bharatpur District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav from a Sri Lankan number.
The accused also put the photo of the district collector on this WhatsApp number. The unknown accused also made WhatsApp calls and messages to the officials from the fake WhatsApp number with the photo of Bharatpur District Collector.
Seeing this, the officials got alarmed, they immediately informed the District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav. After this, the District Collector lodged a complaint in the cyber cell.
Officials were called using fake WhatsApp
The courage of these fearless cyber criminals is so high that they created a WhatsApp group in the name of the District Collector, after which they also made WhatsApp calls and messages to the officials. Currently, the District Collector has lodged a complaint in cyber crime.
There are some virtual numbers which are doing this kind of work. A letter has also been written to the WhatsApp company in this regard, so that action can be taken against the accused. The number from which the WhatsApp group has been created in the name of the collector is from Sri Lanka.
District Collector disclosed
Bharatpur District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav said that I was told through the officials that someone has called the officials through WhatsApp using my old photo. I asked the officials about his location and well-being. After which their calls came to me.
District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav said that on the information of the officials, I came to know that someone has created an ID on WhatsApp using my old photo. He said that a complaint has been made to cyber crime, there are some virtual numbers which are doing this kind of work.
‘Letter written to WhatsApp company’
Bharatpur District Collector said that a letter has been written to the company running WhatsApp in this regard so that action can be taken against the accused. He said that the number from which the WhatsApp page was created is said to be from Sri Lanka.
Regarding the action taken in the case, Bharatpur District Collector Amit Yadav said that the cyber cell is investigating the number in the whole matter. The number from which the message was sent is from Sri Lanka. The police is investigating this matter thoroughly.
