Describing the new electricity policy as very dangerous, Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that the central government has amended the Electricity Consumer Rights Rules 2020 to separate day and night electricity rates. Presenting the figures, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that about 19 per cent costlier for domestic consumers, 18 per cent for private and government institutions, 19 per cent for temporary connections, 1.16 per cent for heavy industry, lift irrigation and 11.5 per cent for commercial consumers. But electricity will be available, that too when electricity is consumed the most. Apart from this, electricity will become costlier by 30 percent for those consumers whose electricity consumption is 100 units.

Center’s decree will not be implemented

The AAP leader said that the Modi government at the Center wants to take away all the rights of the common people by issuing such decrees. That’s why the people of the country and all political parties should oppose the new electricity rate. The Aam Aadmi Party will not allow this new electricity rates and rules to be implemented under any circumstances. You will strongly oppose this black law from the house to the road. Electricity distribution companies will buy electricity generated from solar energy and supply it during the day.
