After the arrest of PFI members, ATS is probing electronic gadgets, phone-laptop will be investigated

ATS Raid in UP: UP ATS has arrested Parvez Ahmed and Raees Ahmed, active members of PFI, during the continuous raids for the last 16 hours. There was a reward of 50-50 thousand rupees on both. Apart from this, 70 people from different districts of the state are being detained and interrogated. All the arrested people have been associated with PFI and even now their involvement in suspicious activities has been found.

ATS had started action against former members of PFI from Saturday evening. Parvez and Rais, active members of PFI absconding for a long time, were arrested by ATS from Varanasi. Parvez and Raees are associates of PFI member Abdullah Saud Ansari. Abdullah was arrested by ATS from Lohta police station area of ​​Varanasi last year. Along with Abdullah, an FIR was also registered against Parvez and Raees. However, both could not be caught.

50-50 thousand reward on both

Parvez and Raees used to spread the radical ideology of PFI. Rais Ahmed was in contact with PFI leaders from Assam and other states during the CAA-NRC movement. Rais was also active in anti-national activities run by PFI. Both the accused used to take training by participating in seminars and workshops held in different states of the country including Delhi, UP, Kerala. After this, to expand the cadre of PFI, youths were mindwashed and included in the organization. There was a reward of 50-50 thousand rupees on both.

30 teams of ATS raided

Along with the arrest of Parvez and Raees, the UP ATS raided several locations in Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh as well as in Lucknow and detained former PFI members. ATS had identified 211 suspected persons associated with PFI in different districts of UP. 30 teams of ATS were deployed to arrest the identified persons. ATS field units of Noida, Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Azamgarh started raids from Saturday evening.

ATS engaged in investigation

11 teams from Shamli, 10 from Ghaziabad, 9 from Lucknow, 8 from Varanasi, 5 from Bijnor, 4 from Meerut, 3-3 from Muzaffarnagar, Azamgarh, Barabanki, 2-2 each from Kanpur, Deoria, Bahraich, Sitapur, Balrampur, 1-1 suspects have been arrested from Siddharthnagar, Bulandshahr, Saharanpur, Amroha, Moradabad and Rampur. The arrested suspects are being interrogated. ATS sources say that the arrested people were involved in anti-national activities. To find out their social media activities, all electronic gadgets like mobile phones, computers, laptops are being investigated.
