Anil Vij in action as soon as he became Transport Minister, surprise inspection of bus stand, instructions given for action

Anil Vij Surprise Inspection: Anil Vij is seen in action while assuming the responsibility of minister in the new government of Haryana. Transport Minister Anil Vij conducted a surprise inspection of Ambala Cantt bus stand on Monday (21 October). During this, he pulled up the officials on many shortcomings in passenger facilities. During his visit, Vij issued instructions to suspend the bus stand in-charge.

Minister Anil Vij issued instructions to suspend bus stand in-charge Ajit Singh besides reprimanding the General Manager of Haryana Roadways for the discrepancies, an official statement said. In view of the foul smell, Vij ordered action against the bus stand in-charge in case of dirty toilets and deficiencies regarding drinking water.

IAS officers will investigate irregularities – Anil Vij

According to PTI report, Vij said while inspecting the Transport Ministry on Sunday, a day after it was allotted. ”Irregularities at the Ambala Cantt bus stand will be investigated by a senior IAS officer, while tenders for shops and other related matters will also be reviewed.” The minister told the concerned officials to check the timing of arrival and departure of buses at the inquiry counter. Also instructed to make arrangements for digital display.

Orders for action against food shops at bus stand also

During the inspection, food stalls at the bus stand were found to be spread beyond their designated space, after which Vij directed the officials to take action in the matter. He also directed officials to collect samples of food items for testing and confiscate goods kept outside the allotted areas.

Inquiries were made about the torn signboards at the bus stand, with officials claiming that they were damaged due to the storm. On this the minister questioned why he had not been rectified yet. He also said that in future action will be taken against the drivers who do not park the buses at the designated places.

Let us tell you that when Anil Vij held the Health and Home departments in the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government, he often used to conduct surprise inspections in various offices across the state and take action wherever he found shortcomings.
